Electronicpublishing.org was the forum for professionals in online, digital and interactive publishing, from 1999 through 2005.

History

If you were involved in "electronic publishing" in any of its many forms, or interested in the business and convergence issues you were invited to participate in our list.

Topics of interest ranged from revenue generation and business strategies to customer relationship management and commissioning, via technology and intellectual property

The emphasis was upon cross-specialism communication and interest, all focusing upon the businesses of electronic publishing.

Current status

A sad server death in spring 2005 killed the list records and, with the focus of people's work interests having changed (I was working in 'etail' rather than pure publishing) we decided not to resuscitate the list. Despite nearly 500 subscribers the number of people posting had declined and the list was more "announce" than "discuss". Indeed, canvassing the subscriber list, we found that people would prefer a 'blog' or an RSS feed.

As soon as time allows we'll put up a blog here, but in the meantime relevant postings will be made at www.innoparticularorder.com under the Publishing category.
