House rules for use of the Electronicpublishing.org
discussion lists...
In subscribing to the lists you are agreeing to these
few, polite rules (which may be updated from time to time etc). Read these in
conjunction with the Terms of Use
of the website.
- Keep sig files under control - be considerate
to others' eyeballs, patience and bandwidth
- No attachments thanks
- No javascript or other executable code/HTML in
messages
- No personal abuse, defamation, racism, sexism,
other -isms, or general poor behaviour. While robust opinions are often fun,
the test should be whether you want your friends, bosses, suppliers, customers
to see your posts! Importantly, think whether *we* want to see your posts.
- No advertising, selling, pushing,
promotion etc.
- No cross-posting with other lists: make your comments relevant to this list. Cross-posting feels like spam after a couple of copies...
- If you think someone's broken the rules please
let the list manager know (epa-owner@electronicpublishing.org)
rather than wading in yourself. That's even more rude
- Transgressors will be banned.
- If in doubt, please refer to the 'netiquette'
guide at http://src.doc.ic.ac.uk/rfc/rfc1855.txt
